A Southington, Connecticut contractor is facing a fine of nearly $181,000 for alleged safety violations at a Connecticut bridge repair project.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration says Brunalli Construction Co. is being cited for safety issues involving the rebuilding of a bridge over the Housatonic River in Falls Village.
Among other things, OSHA says the company has failed to protect workers against falls, drowning and other hazards at the Route 7 job site.
Brunalli Construction has 15 business days to comply or to contest the penalties before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
