now i have 2 kids and they have grown up and moved out of the house. 1 actually has his own place and the other curr in college. but if you stop and take a look backwards, you will find out that we never were given a book on raising a son or daughter. it was learn on the fly, or remember what our parents did. afterall, it probably was mom who tied our shoe and we had to repeat the process ourselves. same thing when it comes to usage of an escalator. getting on and off for small children should be taken seriously as a parent for they can get hurt. i think that this issue was not truly related to the shoe, but to proper usage of the escalator. i remember holding my kids hands and telling them to step off. sometimes even lifting them up to get off the escalator.

so if we really are trying to blame someone, then i guess we can get social services involved for endangerment of a child. injuring his toe and blaming the maker of a shoe for his injuries!

Wudchuck, I hope you are retired or own your own business. If not, I would say “you’re fired.” You spend a lot of time piping in on these reads……….But, you would probably sue me for wrongful termination

i’d say, that mother is barking up a tree w/a lawyer whom both want money and the lawyer will wind up w/the most even when they lose!

What makes you think they will lose? This will probably be settled out of court. Right and wrong have little to do with avoiding the massive costs of litigation. As Ron White says in his routine, you can’t fix stupid.

So…had the boy been barefooted when this happened, who would mom have sued then? God…for poor design flaw, or for not having provided a tag on how to use them?

The mom should be sued by crox for child neglection, not to mention taking 20k of my money that I had in crox, I had invested in the small and upcoming company at 1.50 and now it is back at that on the market thanks to her. The shoes are great that lady should hold her kid on the escalator now please let’s go right back to 75 a share n sue the desperate scum. Please put your sons foot in a pair of nikes or adidas and run that through the escalator and see what happens…. Bottom line she is in the wrong , the shoes are great buy them.
