Every year the same warnings/cautions are issued. Unfortunately, they are wasted on some idiots who lack basic common sense. I say this having handled hundreds of fires from “alternate heat sources”. People trying to heat an entire apartment with a space heater; overloading an extension cord with multiple space heaters; using candles near combustibles; putting gasoline into kerosene heaters; using fireplaces that haven’t had flu’s cleaned in years. These are all preventable, but like the good book says, “some seed fell on rock”.
