Apartment Building Collapses in Philadelphia

Half a dozen people have lost their homes after their apartment building collapsed in Philadelphia.

The front of the three-story brick building in the city’s Fishtown neighborhood collapsed Saturday. Authorities say four units were occupied.

Officials say a construction company was demolishing the unoccupied part of the apartment building when the occupied section starting crumbling too.

Tenant Marvin Schnoll says construction workers threw rocks at his window to tell him the building was coming down. He says his door wouldn’t open and he had to escape through the second floor window.

Authorities say no one was injured.
