Marquis Agency Creates Transportation Group

Woodbridge, N.J.-based The Marquis Agency, a national specialty insurance brokerage and risk management firm, said it is expanding its transportation insurance practice and has organized a separate business unit to manage the business segment.

Marquis has hired Shawn Young to serve as senior vice president and transportation practice leader.

Young said the group will focus on working with clients to develop comprehensive risk management strategies.

The clients of the practice include trucking operations, courier services, busing companies and limousine services.

Marquis is a business unit of NIP Group, and operates in all 50 states except Alaska.
