The second fire in two weeks and the third within the past year has damaged the Stage Neck Inn at York Harbor, Maine.
No injuries were reported in the Wednesday night blaze that broke out in the oceanfront hotel’s main building. Firefighters from several southern Maine towns helped battle the flames.
Investigators from the state fire marshal’s office planned to visit the site to try to determine the cause of the fire.
The inn, which has been closed for renovations, was the scene of a Jan. 17 fire that started in a shed and spread to an adjacent banquet and meeting hall. That fire caused an estimated $400,000 in damage.
