The fire that destroyed a 111-year-old Erie, Pa. landmark has been ruled an accident.
Millcreek Township police say Sunday’s fire at the Fuhrman’s Cider Mill and Bakery was caused by a faulty electrical device on a desk in the lower level office area.
Police say an investigator and an accelerant-sniffing dog searched the building’s remains and found no cause for arson.
Insurance investigators plan to do more analysis and testing of the site.
