Now it is obvious that you don\’t ride! You would be even more miffed about the horns beeping at 5 than a loud pipe. Ever try to ride while beeping a horn on your handlebars? Better keep to a bicycle on the bike path….oh, wait, those yahoos think they own that too! Apparently it\’s not TOO dangerous \’cause they CAN do it! Keep campaigning, we need some more humor here.

HAS EVERYONE GONE STUPID? IT WAS PRIME IDIOCY TO EVER PASS THIS DUMB \”LAW\”. WHAT MAKES THE \” DUH, I GOT A CHOICE\” CROWD THINK THEIR SKULL IS ANY LESS SUBJECT TO INJURY WHEN STRIKING THE ROAD THAN SOMEONE UNDER AGE 21 ? ! HEL-L-L-O-O ??? AND ONE LAST ITEM; MONEY. YES, MONEY BECAUSE WHEN ONE OF THESE \”FREE-AIR-THRU-MY HAIR\” PEOPLE
NEEDS SURGERY, LIFE SUPPORT, POST-OP, OR A TRANSPLANT FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT, WHO\’S GONNA PAY FOR THAT IF THAT \”SKILLED\” RIDER DOESN\’T HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE ? GUESS WHO, AND I DON\’T WANT TO PAY FOR IT !!
IF THIS BUNCH CAN\’T WEAR A HELMUT TO PROTECT ALL OF US THEN A STRONG, ENFORCED LAW WITH HIGH FINES AND SEVER PENALTIES NEEDS TO BE PASSED TO PROTECT THE REST OF THE POPULACE FROM THIER MISTAKES

I never said I ride bikes. And if your safety is too inconvenient for you, then find something else to do besides waking me up.

    Mufflers for all!!!

If you insist on sleeping in undisturbed, please be sure to outlaw the amplifiers and sub-woofers in autos too. I wouldn\’t want you to be inconvenienced by having to pass a law against those later.

Is anything else aggravating you that perhaps can be solved by mandating your will upon us?

Thank you – we all appreciate it.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience, Harley.

If you live in an urban or suburban area, where other people also live, there\’s going to be noise.

I do feel your pain, that\’s a fact. My neighbor leaves for work obscenely early in the morning. He drives a Firebird with a set of glass-packs that could wake the dead. Like you, it annoys me.

But I accept the fact that where there are neighbors, there is noise.

Just go to bed earlier so you\’re already awake at 5am. C\’mon, get a brain dude!! By the way, how\’s Marlboro Man?

Seems to me the people who do wear helmets are protecting themselves to a greater degree. So much for empty spaces. Where\’s your helmet? As for mufflers for all, how about the guy with the Firebird…or anything else you find objectionable?

Ironic that the guy with the Firebird HAS mufflers. They just happen to be of the obnoxiously loud variety.

    To each their own.

Better some good old rough neck glass-packs than one of those buzz-bomb-angry-bee-in-a-coffee-can mufflers that the tuner kids seem to favor.

That\’s an idea though. If Harley sleeps in a helmet, maybe it will block the noise from his \”scooter trash\” pal.

But FYI Harley, if you submit mandatory muffler legislation to your local government, you might want to add a caveat that bans mufflers which produce offensive noise, because a lot of them do. Just because it\’s called a \”muffler\” doesn\’t mean it\’s quiet.

It ain\’t stereos that are putting out 100db noise, it\’s overgrown juveniles compensating for their feelings of inadequacy that want to sound like 2%ers at 5AM. What is so hard to grasp about that? I\’m not the one imposing his will on others, I am trying to stop others from deciding when I wake up. If my car sounded like these hogs I\’d get a ticket.
