Fries to be Honored by N.Y. Agents

The Professional Insurance Agents of New York Inc. announced that Stuart Fries, vice president of Garber Atlas Fries & Associates Inc. in Oceanside, N.Y., will receive the Professional Agent of the Year award at the association’s annual conference. He will be honored for his contributions and commitment to the insurance industry, including his fellow agents, PIANY and his community.

The conference will be held at Bally’s Atlantic City, June 11-13, in Atlantic City.

Active in the insurance industry, Fries is a member of the Governing Committee of the New York Auto Insurance Plan. Fries has served as an appointed public member by several New York State Superintendents of Insurance for more than 25 years. He currently serves as chairman of the Rules sub-committee. He also is a long standing board member of the Council of Insurance Brokers of Greater New York.

PIANY is a trade association representing independent insurance agencies.
