Homeowners Build Home Designed to Withstand Wildfires

    I can’t understand why people in these fire/tornado prone areas are not more seriously looking at Monolithic Domes to solve their potential problems. I believe they can also withstand 400MPH winds. Just a thought.

    “Most homes are lost after firefighters have left because no evidence of smoke or flames is visible. But embers have landed in something flammable, and they don’t instantly burst into flames.”

    I would strongly disagree with this observation. while it might be true in some instances, in the case of a fire that takes out dozens of homes in a “firestorm” event it is not the case. many of the homes that have burned this year have been “indefensible” by fire crews due to the size and speed of the fire.
