Corvallis, Ore. firefighters rescued a construction worker who suffered an electrical shock when he was trapped in a motorized lift that came in contact with an overhead power line.
Corvallis Fire Department spokesman Jim Patton says Pacific Power was called to cut power to the line Friday. Firefighters using a ladder truck then rescued the worker. The lift was about 30 feet in the air when it hit the line.
Patton says the unidentified man did not suffer significant injuries but was transported to a nearby hospital to be checked out.
He was working on roofline gutters on a nearby apartment facility.
