This entire phenomenon is absurd. What’s wrong with this picture? One person comes out of the woodwork FORTY YEARS after an alleged molestation and makes some money. Then suddenly, thousands finally find the courage to belly up to the trough to get some too. The Church has admitted there was a problem and is taking steps to prevent future occurences. Throwing money at these individuals to fund their retirement programs this late in their lives is ridiculous. There should be a statue of limitations for EVERYTHING. This has replaces Asbestos as the new cash cow for plaintiff lawyers.
