And the money would bring back her child? And he would have supported her for the rest of her live – with a lifetime earning potential of $15,000,000???

As a mother of an only child I would be devistated by the loss – but if it was truly an accident – and no gross or intended negligence – it is what it is – Her grief should be better spent making others aware of the dangers of riding bicycles on public streets

This is what is wrong with this country – Non dependents looking for a windfall from a tragedy – Shame on her

The kid hasn’t been dead for 3 weeks and Graciela has already retained counsel and is looking for money. Of course it’s never about the money. Enriching non-dependant survivors is absurd. If everyone agrees you can’t put a price on a person, then why try, particularly when that person wasn’t supporting you. Fortunately she’ll have an uphill battle since no citations were issued and no charges filed against the bus driver. Unfortunate as it is, just because there’s an accident it shouldn’t mean somebody always has to pay.
