My medical insurance company based their payment of my breast reconstruction (after total mastectomy for breast cancer) on something called “Medical Data Research.” I am appealing the amount paid to my doctor but can find no information on who Medical Data Research is or where Medical Data Research gets their averages. Can you help shed some light on this subject so I sound intelligent when I submit my appeal?
