Federal Jury Exonerates Montana Ski Area in Injury Lawsuit

    I agree, it is unfortunate that the boy was hurt, and the resort is right, the person who hit the boy is to blame provided the facts pan out.

    Skiing like any sport is hazardous and if you hurt yourself while engaging in this activity, it is your fault. Far too many people hurt themselves and try to blame the resort for their accident. People need to swallow their pride and accept responsibility for their actions. Blaming the resort for their inability and inexperience only hurts the skiing public. These law suits can and have shut down resorts across the country.

    As a side note, skiing with out a helmet is stupid; far too many people have died needlessly for neglecting to wear a helmet. Every year you hear in the news of injuries and deaths that could have easily been prevented by this simple act.

    The only person who really suffered was the boy, and thankfully he is now okay. These parents were just looking for free money! Good job to the jury who could see through that!
