It\’s easy to lower rates when you don\’t pay claims. 21st Century takes advantage of the system better than anyone. They delay investigation for months, even on clear liablity cases and then deny. This company should not be allowed to write auto coverage. If you ever have an accident with a 21st Century policyholder make sure you get a police report and get a medical evaluation or you will experience nightmare claims handling. You can\’t can imagine.

What the article does not tell you is that the rate change would probably INCREASE rates for 21st Centuries customers in most of state except for LA, SF and other large metro areas. Since zip code weighting is being reduced as a factor for determining rates, we can expect other carriers to follow this \”rate neutral\” filing. Most of us will be subsidizing the inner city customers. I cant weight for Garabundy to leave the office. If it were up to him, everyone would go to the DOI website to buy insurance and the insurers would all have similar rates and you could not purchase insurance from a broker because they were eliminated by the DOI.
