I think after record high rate increases and so many businesses leaving the state, public awareness is at an all-time high. It\’s NOT the public that can change this; it\’s the laws that need to be changed. It\’s way too easy and most of the time, fraud isn\’t investigated and the person gets away with it. We need to get rid of the Democratic powers that be in Sacramento and somehow be able to investigate w/o fear of being sued for personal injury. Employers and companies should be able to collect damages from lawyers and doctors who participate in fraud … maybe hitting them in the pocket book will discourage them.

I have to give Garamendi credit, from a one time champion of socialism, he finally realized that it doesn\’t work (and from experience). His 2nd term as commissioner has been much more honorable than his first term. A liberal usually never gets it unless they experience it, eventually it hits home that the fantazy world doesn\’t work. I also applaud him for setting up a website on fraud, the only thing is, it is the DOI\’s home page! You then go the article that tells you about it and again, it directs you to the DOI home page. These folks really know what they are doing!

Is this California Web Site To Combat Workers\’ Comp Fraud against the Injured Workers or will the workers be able to report fraud perpetrated by the employer, the third party insurer, the insurance lawyers, and the WCALJ?
