Typical for a lot of reporting that is happening on this issue or really lack thereof. Get the facts straight and report everything that is in this bill regarding the repeal of PIP in Florida. Maybe like telling the readers that now there will be mandatory BI coverage which is something every responsible driver should have. The mandatory med pay issue is just a hope and a bargaining tool and doubtful that it will become a reality.

Florida has tried to legislate fraud from happening in the 2013 change to PIP and it did nothing except make it worse. There is a reason that only a handful of states still have PIP anymore.

10K for PD is obnoxiously low.

Bill would institute 20/40/10 liability in 2019 and bump it to 25/50/10 in 2021. That should be the headline. At present, Florida has the lowest liability mandate in the country. Drive at your own peril.
