A new contest will allow Alabama teens to create online videos to share their views about using cell phones while driving.
Alfa Insurance, the Alabama Department of Education and the Alabama Independent School Association have created the contest, which runs Jan. 1 to March 31.
Alfa President Jerry Newby said automobile accidents are the leading cause of deaths among teenagers, and the contest is designed to show that safety is far more important than making a phone call or sending a text.
The top three finishers will receive Apple products, monetary school donations and cash prizes. A website has been set up with the entry form and contest rules.
