For the most part, Florida DOES NOT have a sinkhole problem. We have a public parasite problem. Until this is resolved, or all contract language changes to catastrophic ground cover collapse, insurance companies will be in trouble.

agreed. Usually the Miami area leads the way in fraud. I’m surprised they’re so late to this party.

Hey Hillsborough agent seems to me all the fraudsters have flocked north to the Tampa area . Thank God for us agents here in the Miami Dade area we are getting a little break. Pip claims #1, Sinkhole claims #1. Congrats!!!!!

sorry for the ignorance, but with a new Gov, does this mean McCarty is also on way out? Sure hope so, he has been a huge problem

What amazes me about McCarty is that he all the sudden seems to know something about the state of the insurance industry. So either that means Charlie had a muzzle on him or they were in cohoots together. I am so glad that the tan man is gone, I hope McCarty is right behind him. This is definitely a public adjuster problem, just ask any of the claims people from your insurance companies.

McCarty is now trying to act like a regulator again, instead of a Charlie Crist groupie. I guess drinking that Koolaid didn’t work out so well for him.Remember his magic numbers on new Florida insurers? What a joke.

Between the two of them, Crist and McCarty almost destroyed the Florida property insurance market, while they put the state on the hook for billions it can’t pay.

Rick Scott would be crazy to keep McCarty on in ANY capacity.

Crist had McCarty on a tight leash. Crist destroyed the P&C markets here in Fla. McCarty stood by like a bobble head doll.
Kinda like the dummies in the Pep-Boy commercials. Gov. Scott better show that moron the door ASAP. Goodbye to both of those losers. Hopefully we can survive the damage they caused.
