Funny, I was thinking that we don’t need agents taking their cut of the pie. People should just go straight to the companies. Most agents don’t even know how to fill out an Acord app properly. We should all just be direct writers.

Hmm, UW, did I touch a soft spot? Sorry, didn’t me too.

As I said before, nothing personal against attorneys, just the ones you see on TV and billboards asking “Hey, did that paper cut on your finger cause you to die? If so, I can help. Just call 1-800-LETSSUE.

At first a government employee is excited about the opportunity to serve a fellow man, and do good for society. Then they go to a Union meeting, Oh my! You deserve more! is the chant… Then they are told not to work hard, because it doesnt pay well and you are just hurting your fellow worker not helping your fellow man….. Then they put in 17 years of dealing with the lowest forms of our society on assistance and they get hard to the hearts of others, They just do not care about anything anymore. They state, “Just get me to 20 years” and then I will suck on society for the rest of my life and tell everyone I come in contact with that I deserve it. Hmmm.

This is a good picture of the life of a government employee. Sorry, not necessarily sarah….

The industry is drowning in fraud. I am a Florida state certified contractor that specialized in foundation repair (sinkhole/non-sinkhole)since 2002. I was not “in the insurance circuit” but I learned about the abuses in the industry. It is appalling. Citizens should hire me to develop a “watchdog” program. I was on the front line and I know what controls need to be implemented.

You have got to be an agent. Agents try and justify all their pitfalls to increae insurance rates just to fill their pockets. Guess the commander’s stimulus didn’t trickle down to you, doesn’t surprise me it did nothing except benefit the very people that caused the economic problems.

Nobody, nothing you are writing or advocating makes any sense. Not sure what industry you are in (I know you’re not an English teacher)but my guess is that you aren’t very good at it.

One thing Citizens could try is not giving wind mitigation discounts on sinkhole premium. I did a quote the other day in Pasco. Without sinkhole, the premium was $1500 with a $365 wind mit discount. I went back and added sinkhole, the premium was $3100 with a $785 wind mit discount.

Now that doesn’t make much sense does it.

Agree and would hope they discover & correct this with their investigation into the problem. While I hate to see the rising rates on home insurance (or any other insurance for that matter) it’s been increasingly difficult for companies to forecast claims and price accordingly. A cracked driveway was not a claim in the past but now it is. An STD was not a liability claim in the past but now it could be.
