I note that there were only .2% of the permit owners that had their permit revoked last year. Too bad the rest of the populace doesn’t have that small percentage that have problems. Compare that to the number of people in the general population that are in jail/prison, convicted of a felony, etc. Mighty small problem rate! More people should have concealed weapons permits, obviously!

Guns have only three purposes: to kill, to hunt, or to target shoot. Otherwise, NOBODY except military and law enforcement personnel have any business carrying a weapon. No rational person needs a weapon in a public establishment. Anyone carrying a weapon in a bar or restaurant is obviously anticipating a problem and is willing to use the weapon. What kind of social argument requires the use of lethal force to protect oneself? The risk of having to pull a gun to protect yourself is miniscule and doesn’t warrant the cowboy attitude of these idiots. I certainly wouldn’t want myself or my family exposed to some jerk who carries a gun “just in case”. That’s how innocent people get killed. This is not the wild west. It’s sad that those who think they need a gun everywhere they go have the same mentality of the morons who own pit bulls.

“no honey, I’m not gaining weight. It’s just my .45 automatic. I brought it to dinner in case I get into an argument with somebody. Nobody will mess with me because I have a gun.”

Azekiel, you got two out of three right, guns are used to hunt & target shoot. Do you realize that over 66,000,000 guns killed NO ONE today? The risk is, indeed, miniscule.

The crazy guy who ran around the Virginia campus killing students comes to mind. If you don’t want to carry a gun, DON”T. You have NO business trying to control MY rights.

If a gunman attacks you, go ahead and protect yourself and your family by using statistics and probabilities on the guy.

I AM USING MY SMITH AND WESSON.
