I bet if you look long and hard at Citizens you will see major coruption between Crist and McCarty, Pruit and Attwater with Citizens. I would bet there are bodies buried there.
It was my understanding that the DFS was to be informed of any inquiry into an alegation truthful or not by any requlatory agency on any carrier doing business in the State of Florida.
You would think that the Citizens bing a State of Florida backed insurance carrier would have to operate in the open (so much for sound judgement), but it seems that an item kept in the shadows from June until December (a mere 6 months) is of little concern to DFS or the legislators.
It would not look good to have it made public that a subpoena was issued, but it REALLY looks BAD when they hide it as Christine Turner said she and her team did. In the real world she would bow her head in shame and resign for failing to keep the right people in the know. How on earth can the board of directors govern an organization running out of control with a history of corruption if they are kept in the dark by their own legal staff. She knows better and she should be released without a golden parachute. It is time that Citizens is held to the same levels as other insurance companies and held to the same regulatory BS, actuarial standards, accounting processes, claims processes and for goodness sake, don’t try to cover up a subpoena, no matter what it is for. It is possible that this subpoena is loking for something that did not happen, but the fact that it was kept secret indicates that there is something to hide and it was attempted internally to make it go away.
