Chrome, I bet you are the type of insurance client who has gone thru a bunch of agents. You sound like the type. Cheaper than a $2 bottle of wine and never purchase anything but the minimum limits to save a few bucks, but come claim time, want the Cadillac of coverages even though you paid for a VW. Sorry, most agents don’t have any sympathy for your types. We see it all the time. Here’s some “cheese” to go with your whine.!

Hey Chrome, I am not a big fan of State Farm or Allstate, but to think that these guys just come in and suck money out and don’t pay is idiotic. Last year, nationally, State Farm paid out more than 19 billion in claims. Also, the CEO made $11.66 million dollars in salary and bonus. Total revenue was $32 BILLION, so his pay was 6 thousandths of a percent of revenue. Quite honestly, that is pathetic. I make 2 pct of our companies gross, so by your standards, I am way overpaid. Think about how much your pct of pay to company revenue is and then honestly make a statement.

If I was given the chance to be God -by God Himself. I’d know that I don’t have what it takes, and I’d ask Him for His wisdom and perpective of everything. Because otherwise I might really screw up the universe or something. Since appearances can be deceiving, there could be a very important reason that man is allowed the free will to make stupid and selfish choices that (unfortunately) causes others to suffer.

And Michael Moore will decend from Heaven and waive his mighty hand and all will be made whole. The business world trembles at his mighty footsteps. There are some serious nuts out of their cages today.

    Distortion of the point!
You are likely worth every penny of what you make.
If you think that what SF and Allgreed spent saddens me well think again. You are also combining the two figures.
The point I am trying to make is that it’s too much money any way you formulate it for large corps exec’s.
Look I’m breaking you stones because I am hearing how poor insurance companies are and then you see what is paid out to the big cheeses and I really have no sympathy for them when they say they are not making money, hence raising my premiums.
That’s it in a nut shell!
A good businessman will reinvest in their company and this is not normally the case as with any claims department. The money is usually made on the investment end which I am sure you are aware of.
When they make a profit on P&C and H.O.books then the companies are really in the money.
I know I’ve seen it first hand and the fortune is not spread properly.
What would make someone worth 11.66 million?
That’s the question I always ask.
