The \”consumers\”, those who use their insurance most often, always as \”How do you expect us to pay this much….\”
More than 100 years ago it was recognized that the worst thing that can happen to an insured is the insolvency of their insurance company.
The first insurance commissioner in the United States was Elizur Wright. His job was to monitor for the solvency of the companies.
Each insured needs to be paying their appropriate risk premium. It is not right to require people who live far inland to cover the insurance costs of a house virtually on the beach in a hurricane zone.

    Thanks for the welcome Jewel!
I stopped posting on the other thread because I found most of the posters rude and nasty!
It is obvious by your post that you really don\’t have a \”clue\” how expensive insurance has become for the people in this state. What are you now calling this \”Kelly\” a liar too? I am sure Ginny with HAC could send you one of their \”Book of Tears\” which has several thousands of letters of people who\’s premiums are outrageous and people who are loosing their homes…not that you would care.
I am beginning to think that you were hired by the insurance industry to sit at your computer and bully ANYONE who is not in agreement with you or your industry\’s beliefs.

I can see by your post that you haven\’t yet learned how to read. How about if you learn to read, read my post again and THEN respond to me. Otherwise, keep your ignorance away from me.

And for the 100th time, I do not sell or have anything to do with homeowners insurance.

READ WHAT PEOPLE POST- Don\’t put words in their mouths.

Now, as my last part of this post, let me help you begin \”Reading Comprehension 101\”. I said her premium is ridiculous (meaning I feel it is unfairly high) and I think maybe the journalist didn\’t get the story straight. Now, wrap your pea sized brain around that and quit directing your anger at me. And don\’t tell me what I do and don\’t care about as you haven\’t got a clue. Would you like for me to tell you that you don\’t care what is fair for people being driven out of their homes because of high insurance costs?

Put up… (meaning pay attention to what is going on) or SHUT UP!

Go for it Jewel. Kathy hasn\’t stated one fact in any posting yet. Just how evil the insurance companies are and how we are lying cheats. Not one fact! I thought you were being sympathetic in you prior post.

I THINK THIS ARTICLE THAT WAS POSTED ON THIS SITE SAYS IT ALL…..FACT!!

State Farm Insurance\’s chairman and CEO received an 82 percent raise after the company posted a record profit last year, a statement from the Bloomington-Ill.-based insurer said this week.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ed Rust Jr. got a $5.26 million raise. He earned $11.66 million in 2006 with a base salary of $1.77 million and results-based bonus of $9.89 million, the statement said. Rust made $6.4 million in 2005 and $5.5 million in 2004.

The absence of a major catastrophe helped the insurer generate a record $5.32 billion profit last year, compared to $3.24 billion in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast, release said

And you didn\’t get your facts straight… again.

And this is why I think you\’re ignorant and will continue to do my best to make you upset.

P.S. I said I don\’t sell insurance or have anything to do with homeowners insurance.
I know you\’re ignorant but even you must know there are MANY other types of insurance and MANY other jobs in the insurance industry. Why are YOU here? I thought you were independently wealthy (ha ha). You\’re obviously not an insurance professional. I don\’t think you\’re in it for the people too. I just think you have nothing better to do.

    That\’s sad.

Ed Rust makes a lot of money. Insurance companies are filled with evil, selfish people with no compassion. We get it. We don\’t agree, but we get it. I don\’t think you are stupid, just poorly informed. I have worked for an honest and loyal insurance company for 30 years. I know more about my business than you do. How do I know that? Because you have no facts other than those stated above. You rant and rave about how bad we are over and over, but say nothing factual. I care about people, that\’s why I got into this business. We just see things from a different perspective. I respect your right to your opinion, if not your opinion.

Res ipsa loquitur. Sed quid in infernos dicet?

A lawyer latin joke referencing evidence in a particularly famous lawsuit.
    The English translation is
The thing speaks for itself. But what the hell does it say?
    Here\’s the story http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Res_ipsa_loquitur
