How dare you say, we ask for hand outs.

We can pay FEMA for all disasters & we will be guaranteed payment.

We Paid, We Trusted these companies.
In Good Hands, Good Neighbors, all lies.

We are still paying mortgages & insurance on homes that we can not live in.

You pay two for two policies.
    Example: $200,000 Home
    $100,000 Flood
    $100,000 Homeowners
    Home is destroyed, not vanished.
    Along comes Katrina
    Wind & Water=Hurricane

    You receive $100 Flood
    You receive $00 Homeowners Policy

Is this asking for something free?

After I filed the claim for the Benz that I left in my driveway,
the only people who called me were
    The Salvage Co.
I refused to give the car to anyone until my Insurance Co. Paid me.
Took over 4 months to get the check.

The car was completely underwater for 3 weeks but they still wanted the car.

They kept calling & continued to call until I told them,
The Police already put the VIN # in a
    computer as flooded.
The salvage co. stopped calling &
    They never called again.

I read my policy, it states that I must accept OFF Parts….

Gee Louise…is it ever going to end?

Why can\’t you rely on yourself and rebuilt yourself instead of relying on others (for hand-outs)?

How about insuring your $200000 home with a $200000 flood policy and a $200000 homeowners policy? Insuring your home for half the rebuild cost is not sound management.

    Kim,

    This is from your post…

\”You pay two for two policies.
    Example: $200,000 Home
    $100,000 Flood
    $100,000 Homeowners\”

If you have a $200,000 home, why would you only have $100,000 coverage on your homeowner\’s policy? Same question for your flood policy. Looks like if your home burns to the ground, you won\’t have enough coverage to rebuild.

Do you think FEMA is going to pay $100,000 from you flood policy for your fire loss?

Is that going to be the insurance company\’s fault too?

The Home was worth less than $100,000 when I bought it.
I rennovated the house but was still not finished.
I had thousands in materials in the workshop, and all of my tools like makita & dewalt table saws/band saws etc. (cry)
    That makes me sick!
    I lived in N.O. too.
Everytime I needed a tool it was in MS or La.,So I bought 2 of everything and still Lost all in one Katrina.
I saved thousands putting crown moulding & decorating with what I call cosmetic surgery. I am a single female.
I do everything myself or else get ripped off.
I also built a gazebo, Dock, Pier, Boat Launch in my back yard.
    Bayou Lacroix.
When I grew up, I bought the place next to the one we had when we were kids.

I Painted all 700\’ ceder fence, myself. Wrap-around-porch, antibellium staircases, palm trees, bamboo plants, loved living there.

Then out of the blue My Dad Died.
I went on tilt for a while.
    I never bought more insurance.
The Tax assessor was just at my house
    the week before Katrina.

I should be dead. I survived.
The news said it would hit new orleans so I decided to stay in MS.
My Pomerarian went into labor & got into trouble.
Had to go to EMG Vet…that saved my life.
Water was over the roof tops,
    with no survivors.
    Happy to be alive.
    I\’m still living…in the USA.
Trying to make a difference & trying to make it better.

Why end the criminal investigation of Snake Farm? We all need and deserve to know the whole truth. Was there criminal wrongdoing by anyone at Snake Farm, or any other insurer, for that matter? The public deserves to know the whole truth. The AG should continue the investigation in full, full speed ahead, whether Snake Farm agrees to pay the claims or not! What, if the y pay the claims, they get no criminal punishment? If hte investigation is not completed, we will never know what truly is happening, and Snake Farm, and other insurers, will continue to act criminally (allegedly), and we will never know…We need to know..We want to know..We MUST KNOW!

    AG went after them!!! Salute!
    That was History.
I felt like I was awarded 2.5 million.
I was proud to see a man step up to the plate and start swinging for the people.
    This was priceless.

History will repeat itself, the evidence can still be used.

Who can you put in jail? Enron?
They sell, Americans buy. It\’s in black & white. They\’ve been doing this for years. Every year, they found another exclusion to insert into the contract to Protect their Finances, and not the Policyholder.

Prison will not help us or any of them.
American Homeowners deserve to buy a policy that will cover any & all damage from natural disasters. Period!

If We,The People…Do not Demand A Fair Policy, they will continue this.
Then it will be our own fault.

    We can do something!
one voice is not strong enough.

If the Insurance Industry can not afford to provide a Fair Honest Policy to the American people, then they need to leave.

FEMA can sell it or we can become SELF-INSURED by City & State. Paid just like taxes to the Assessor\’s Office.

Cities & States would have so much money they could not count.
City would make more $ than the Industry No Agent Commission, No overhead.
Just a few empoyees to help process payments paid.

    The weather is changing….
and we need to change with it.

This is what we\’re fighting for.

Fair Honest Policy for all Homeowners.
We\’re Not in Good Hands+Neighbors are Bad.
