Man, what part of what I\’ve written can you not read????
I stated very clearly I did not have flood insurance. Didn\’t need it- according to my good hands guy and FEMA.
What I also stated and you all need to comprehend is that this was NOT a flood, but a TIDAL WAVE thanks to a HURRICANE (aka windstorm)!
I\’d keep writing and try to explain yet again, but will just hope you can locate the cursor on your mouse and re-read the prior posts yourself.
I can see this verbal battle could go on for quite a while with no resolution in sight. I\’m willing…are you?
And again, I challenge all of you who think we are trying to get something for nothing or more than what we paid for to take a ride on down here and see for yourselves. Don\’t worry, the major casinos and golf courses are open and functioning, so you can have a good time and write it off as a business expense. But please DO stray off the main boulevards and see what lies behind the rubble…
You will certainly leave with a different attitude and hopefully a \”what can I do to help\” attitude.
    God Bless!

…to answer your question, \’YES, it is freaking easy\’—do you really want us to believe that the majority of Mississippians thought they had flood protection under their HO policy?

    Please, spare us!

Tidal Wave is a flood. It may not be a flood in your mind, but it has been defined as flood for many years.

According to the definitions provided, apparently ANY water damage occurring during a hurricane is technically flood?
Well, the \”wind\” from the hurricane (\”windstorm\”) blew all the shingles and felt off 2/3 of the roof and \”rain water\” from the \”windstorm\” came in, damaging ceilings, walls, and belongings above the alleged \”flood\”** watermark, and the insurance paid (somewhat pitifully) on that, so what does that mean? I guess I should be thrilled they even paid that? And, the adjuster they sent out punched a hole in the ceiling with his flashlight butt to see if it was wet. Guees what? They later argued that the hole was not caused by the storm, so they don\’t need to pay extra for that! How low is the lowest they will sink?
Once again, I make my point. These policies are written such that the Ins. Co. can pretty much do and say whatever they want and we are but puppets on a string…straight from my checkbook to their bank account.
*BTW, we don\’t use the \”F\” word in our house. No, not that \”F\” word. The other one just as bad…\”flood\”.

Flood: 1. an overflowing of water on an area normally dry; inundation; deluge. 2. the flowing in of water from the sea, as the tide rises. 3. a great flow or outpouring [a flood of words]. 4. [colloq.] same as FLOODLIGHT. 5. [archaic or poet.] a) water as opposed to land b) a large body of water, as a sea or broad river – vt. 1. to cover or fill with a flood; overflow\’ inundate 2. to cover, fill, or overwhelm like a flood [music flooded the room] 3. to put to much or too much water, fuel, etc on or in [to flood a carburetor] – vi 1. to rise in a flood 2. to come out like a flood; gush out 3. to become flooded – the flood bible the great flood in Noah\’s time: Gen 7.

Flood Tide: the incoming or rising tide: cf. ebb tide

Tidal wave: 1. in popular usage, an unusually great, destructive wave sent inshore by an earthquate or a very strong wind. 2. any great or widespread movement, expression or prevalent feeling etc.

(all above- new world dictionary 2nd ed)

Although I am not in Miss – our standard HO 3 policy excludes water damage – meaning \” flood, surface water, waves, tidal water, overflow of a body of water, or spray from any of these, whether or not driven by wind.\”

It appears to me- that a tidal wave qualifies as a type of flood – both are excluded by the ho policy used in my state (I would gather that most states have a similar provision)

    TRILLION DOLLAR QUESTION:
HOW MUCH DOES A NEW ROOF COST ?
    THEY WIN.
WE, THE PEOPLE … LOOSE AGAIN.
    IS THAT CALCULATING ENOUGH?
    1 + 1 = 2 24/7
DOES THAT ALONE ADD UP TO SHOW PROOF?
PROOF OF CALCULATING & CLEAVER WAYS TO PROFIT?
They have Our Money And They Have Our Power too!
Reckon They can afford to Lobby.
    A hurricane called Katrina
    Blew their covers off too.
They\’re fighting mad too, like gangsters,
and using trump cards to trump political
    parties on all sides.
Mums the word with the media too and
    When you need them.
    FACT: I PERSONALLY CAUGHT MY
    STATE FARM ADJUSTER LYING
    TO DENY THE CLAIM…
\”STATE FARM REFUSED TO PAY $1
    BECAUSE THE ENGINEERING FIRM SAID…
    IT WAS ALL WATER DAMAGE.\”
I ASKED HIM FOR THE NAME OF THE ENG.FIRM
HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE NAME.
I IMMEDIATELY TOLD HIM THAT I QUESTION
ANY ENG. FIRM THAT WOULD SIGN A
DOCUMENT THAT WAS FALSE OR UNTRUE.
MONTHS LATER I FOUND THAT MY RECORDS
DO NOT SHOW OR INDICATE THAT ANY ENGINEER
OR ENGINEERING FIRM WAS EVER PRESENT OR
ON MY PEMISES IN BAY ST.LOUIS.
    STATE FARM APOLOGIZED AND SAID
THEY WOULD SEND OUT ANOTHER ADJUSTER
    IMMEDIATELY.
OOPS… THEY LIED AGAIN. ALL THEY DID WAS HAVE
ANOTHER STATE FARM PRO CALL ME TO
    ARROGANTLY DENY THE CLAIM AGAIN.
BUT THEY DID SAY THAT THEY WOULD RECONSIDER
PAYING… IF I WOULD MAIL THE VIDEO EVIDENCE
TO THEM FOR THEIR REVIEW. LOL
I SAID, SIR, I AM SORRY BUT YOU WILL HAVE
TO WAIT TO SEE THE VIDEO & YOU WON\’T
SEE IT UNTIL WE ARE INSIDE OF A COURTROOM.

MY SF AGENT TOLD ME THAT ANYONE WITH A VIDEO
WAS PAID ON THE SPOT AND IN FULL TOO!
WE\’RE GOING TO FIND THE PAYEES THAT WERE PAID
ON THE SPOT BECAUSE THEY HAVE VIDEO
    EVIDENCE. FOLLOW THE MONEY!!!

THAT’S WHY THEY HAVE SO MUCH MONEY FOR SO LONG. THEY HAVE GOTTEN AWAWY WITH THIS FOREVER. UNTIL NOW.
TIME TO PAY UP OR GET OUT

IS THERE ANY HONOR LEFT IN MAN?
STAND UP AND SEND IT IN.
    The TRUTH That is…
You can\’t serve two masters anymore
    Because
    THE TRUTH WILL PREVAIL.
PS. IF THERE IS A GOD THEN THERE WAS A REASON WHY HE LET KATRINA DESTROY OUR LAND. DENOUNCE THEM BY NAME
    IF THERE IS A GOD…
HE KNOWS WHAT GOES ON BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.
HE IS AS ANGRY AS ANY PARENT WOULD BE
IF SOMEONE LIED & CHEATED THEIR CHILD.
IF THERE IS GOD…WE ARE ALL HIS CHILDREN.

    My Adjuster Lied.
He said State Farm Refused to pay One Dollar because the Engineering Firm said It was water that did all of the damage.
I asked him for the name of the Engineering Firm and he began to studder.
Then he refused to give me the name.
I said, that figures because I would question any Engineering Firm that would sign false statements.
Months later I contacted State Farm.
A supervisor returned my call and said that they were very sorry and he has my records right in front of him and they do not show that an engineer or engineering firm was at my home.
This line was used on Judges in LA to people in MS.
A powerful tactic used to deny claims. This should be investigated.
People that are in the Ins. business said my home has lots of wind damage.
