It’s a joke that the State of Florida allows non physicians to own a “Clinic.” Whenever a story about some type of illegal scheme involving insurance fraud or patient brokering or staged accidents hits the news, 90% of those involved are not licensed physicians.
By it’s very nature, the right of a non physician to own and operate a clinic invites shady business. Someone who sacrificed the time and money and hard work to obtain a degree and licensure is naturally less likely to look for the easy way to make money than someone who may not even hold a high school diploma. Only a lawyer can own a law firm and only a dentist can own a dental office. Why then can anyone own a clinic in Florida? If we wnat to eliminate fraud, let’s make it mandatory for a medical facility to be owned by a licensed physician.

thats why we live in the U.S.A, where people who cant afford an education can still better there way of life withoout fraud involved, why settle for being an employee and be knocked for trying to better yourself, so I strongly disagree w/ the oppinion of that who say you need a degree, I have seen dr\’s w/a degree have to work extra because of the Insurance company\’s beeing favored because theycontribute to there elections so why dont you consentrate on the real problem and that is the insurance companies easy escape that was handed to them thanks to mr Galagher , of course he will be running for something as well.
