Why thank thank you. I think I’ll audition for the upcoming Perry Mason movie. Let’s not forget that the insurance contract is not negotiated at arms length. As all of you know, it is a contract of adhesion. The consumer is compelled to procure it…so the choice to sign or not to sign is nonexistent. Check your mortgage; does it allow you to non-insure? While some consumers can “shop” different companies, some can’t. And I’d be willing to bet the policies (contract) don’t change from company to company.
I am not a lawyer nor do I live in Florida or understand any of the comments left on this site. I did however work for the health insurance company that provided medical coverage for Hannah Thornhill. In fact, I was the liasion that assisted in getting the proper nursing care for this child after this horrible incident. Mrs.Thornhill worked tirelessly & non stop to get the care her child needed. this child choked on a pretzel. any qualified care giver or new parent that has read anything about parenting knows that a 14 month old should not be given a pretzel. I lost contact with this family in 2002 and was saddened to hear of Hannah’s death. I have pictures of her after this incident & also after she had been receiving round the clock nursing care. She NEEDED this care; she could not swallow & had to have her saliva suctioned out of her mouth so she would not choke. I honestly believed that she would survive; not have a normal life, but with all of that love around her, I hoped for a miracle.I apologize to all of you who deal strictly with the facts, but I needed to put a personal spin on this. Thank you for the time & space.
