    well, that is where much of the country’s wealth is migrating to. they can afford it. why should i in ohio subsidize their exposure with rate increases. as for the flood program, don’t live in a area that requires the coverage, because you’ll be subsidizing the well to do that live near the seacoast. your rates will be higher than they should be.

    I agree with you Drudy and I live in S. Florida. It seems a shame that insurance won’t use a slide scale but unfortunately everything is based on the rich. This of course, how the insurance companies acquire the vast amount of profit they make. I wish they’d stop complaining….I’m drained.

    I can assure you not everyone who lives around the water in Florida is rich! As far as the price these insurance companies are charging and then crying about having to pay out on storms is so bogus. When the richest companies in the world are gas companies and insurance companies and the prices are what they are, something is wrong with this picture.
