Per a recent column in the Miami Herald, FEMA has paid $28 million to Miami-Dade residents which was nowhere near any of the storms landfall. The payments included replacement of 5260 tv’s, 1440 air conditioners, 423 pc’s 1091 microwaves and 2 boat anchors. In total over 195,000 personal items were paid for from the no landfall hurricanes. Oh yeah, they paid for $2800. in dental work and one funeral as well. I’m sure the fine folks in Charlotte, St. Lucie, Indian River and other counties appreciate their tax dollars being spent so wisely.
