The insurance industry should be commended for this claim closure ratio, in light of the many hurdles that we faced in resolving these claims. Unfortunately, I doubt that the FL. Dept. of Insurance will broadcast this message to consumers. They will probably focus on the 14% that were not resolved. I suspect that there is a legitimate reason for a good percentage of the unresolved claims, but the reasons will not be highlighted by the DOI.
