Consumers should be aware of the “trap’ with online unclaimed money sites. Their databases are incomplete (maybe) 5-8% of all unclaimed accounts being held by the States’ Unclaimed Property Divisions.
The ‘trap’ is that with only 5% of the accounts/names, their private database may have 85% of all American surnames.
Also, with the above there is no incentive to update their database..new American last names are not born nor do last names disappear.
The only thorough search is to regularly visit the States’ current online databases.
