The Texas Medical Board investigators make up stuff even when the physician follows all of their documented “rules” for treatment of patients with pain. “Non-therapeutic prescribing” is one allegation that is thrown a pain physicians by investigators who are L.V.N.s or RNs. A physician can do everything right, have excellent patient care, and provide a weaning program, yet these government investigators will still make FALSE allegations. A patient who dies from an overdose means just that, the patient took more than what was prescribed. How is that the doctor’s fault?
