People in Gov’t always imply the only way to do anything new or different is to increase taxes to pay for it.

BHO can borrow TRILLIIONS of $$ from the Chinese, but can’t allow tax cuts to remain in place because they aren’t “paid” for.

What a load of bull stuff.

If Gov’t at all levels was forced to evaluate existing programs, and eliminate the waste, fraud and inefficiency there would be plenty of $$ to go around.

Running a gov’t of any size is just like you running your household, or a businees person running their business.

I drive an 8 year old car, have one “old fashion” tv, wear clothes that are sometimes 20 years old, and shop at value oriented stores.

I could have “afforded” a house 3x what I live in based on formulas commonly used for determining reasonable debt load, but intentionally choose a more affordable house.

I know how much $$ comes in and I know how much goes out. The outflow never exceeds the income, and I have $$ left over to save toward retirement and other carefully evaluated discretionary spending.

We need to get rid of any politician – Local, State and Federal – that is incapable of doing the same thing.

I guess we all need to get down on your level to succeed. I get sick and tired of the guy with an old car, and old TV, and 20 year old clothes making everyone get down on their level. Guess what. I have a new car, new house, new clothes, employed 100’s and give hundreds of thousands to charities every year. I have no debt. But guess what, I did take calculated risks over the past 40 years and I did take on educated debt from time to time. Shame on me. I should have saved every penny for myself.

The cretins that lived there received federal aid for their un-insured pieces of crap houses and what happened? They took the money and ran away, leaving their mess for others to clean-up. Billions of dollars of taxpayer money has gone into aid for Louisiana (mostly New Orleans). This seems to be a recurring theme as it is in the path of every freakin’ storm that gets into the Gulf. The city contributes nothing to the national economy, an un-skilled and un-educable population, and always has it’s hand out. Some idiot build it below sea level and expected dirt levees to keep the ocean out. Even the famed Fifth Quarter is ghetto. They created their problem; let them solve it.

Who says you can’t clean it up yourself? Get off your lazy butts!
And if it’s a crack house — opps! Grass grows great in charcoal.
Always looking for the government versus doing it yourself.

That “certain ethnic groups” never show any initiative aside from being first in line for a bailout? If this happended in a European immingrant community they’d band together, draw on their strong work ethic and pride, and try to do something. Then people would respond and try to help them. I agree with Gene, it’s time “certain ethinic groups” start shutting up and working to improve their lot. But no…….when the going gets tough, they wait for someone else to do the work, or leave their mess for someone else to clean-up.
