I guess it is racist when you say a minority is incompetent and corrupt, but on the other hand it has to be true when a white is called the same thing.
Nobody said there aren’t other takers, but the difference is the givers don’t get raped, killed, and robbed while they’re helping out. That distinction is held by the wonderful few.

Since when did fact become racism? Why are people afraid to mention color? Look at the film footage of Katrina. Black folks and black police resorting to looting. People getting raped in the Superdome, a temporary refuge from the disaster? Black people elected Nagin. He’s incompetent. Same think happened in Detroit with Coleman Yound and Kwami Fitzpatrick. When’s the last time you saw this behavior by any other ethnic group? Not racism. Fact. We can’t keep sinking money into a dead city with no future. Turn out the light.
It seems that corruption is rampant from the Feds down to the local level. If the citizens keep electing these people, they get what they deserve. Look at Bell, Ca. where the city officials were ripping off the city for millions in salaries. They are nothing but common criminals and should be given 20 to Life and fined the amount they were paid. This country needs to return to principles and accountability of public officials. The coming election is a start to vote out the incumbents who have messed up this country.

Turn the light back on, moron. The FACT is that the disaster, one of unprecedented proportions, could have happened anywhere in this country and regardless of the community struck, if left with no power, steady food and water supply, or adequate shelter, any group of
“civilized” people will quickly descend into anarchy. The FACT is the whole situation was mishandled by incompetent officials trusted with the safety and security of the people. The FACT is the failure was massive, but to say it was unique because the community it hit was almost exclusively black is simple, unadulterated ignorance on your part. That’s the FACT.
BTW, when’s the next klan meeting in your neck of the back woods?
Black people don’t go postal either, so you should point that out. However, when the heavy snows shut down half the state of Iowa and South Dakota with floods that would make Katrina look like al kiddie pool, nobody got shot, nobody looted anything, and the people took care of their own. No demands for handouts from American taxpayers, no accusations of racism because FEMA didn’t come running with an open wallet, and no call for billions of dollars to place them all back into homes that were better than the ones they had before.
Looks like Iowa is looking for more. Don’t get me started on areas that won’t work to set up flood control protections so aren’t participating in the NFIP. They are still being bailed out by FEMA.
