Such a tragic event… but sue the widow? I doubt she was party to the scheme or she would have been on the plane – and if it were a suicide… unless I’ve been under a rock for the past 35 years – that would void most insurance policies… if it were deemed “terroism” I doubt she will find coverage anywhere else. Besides the IRS would have already seized any “other assets” they had over the ongoing dispute with the government – What could this woman possibly accomplish by rubbing salt into Stack’s widow? Crud – She can’t even take their property because the woman is on the street with no worldly posessions… What does she want to do tap her income for the next 100 years?

I feel sorry for the women – but there has to be some compassion left somewhere in this world…Unless the widow is a C.H.B. which doesn’t seem the case – what else does she want?

Well actually, there are Life insurance policies that will pay on suicide as long as it occurs more than two years after the effective date.

But that doesn’t change the fact that this guy is a loser. He leaves his wife with a burned out house, which will probably not be covered by their homeowners insurance.

And I agree, the widow shouldn’t be suing the other widow- America is litigation crazy. I’ve got nothing against a legitimate suit against a verifiably negligent party, but we need to get some serious tort reform going.

And while on the soapbox… We’d all be better off if we took another look at how the Amish community responded to the school shooting in PA a few years ago.
