I have to agree with about 90 percent of what was said. person that lost my home on Bolivar due to Ike and only having Windstorm insurance I have to agree not to think you can self insure for anything if you are a full time resident. The insurance industry also has to “inform their customers that even if you think you will be covered dont bet on it”. Never in my wildest nightmare did I ever think Texas Windstorm would try and figure out a way not to pay claims on total loses. Paying their 11.2 percent is like a slap in the face. We had some wind but who knows why your home is gone so we wont pay. Even if it was at code. Not a guarantee. Yes I will rebuild but I wont leave for the next one nor the next one. I will try and document all activity for Texas Windstorm so they are not able to do what they are doing to us now. And if its my time to go so be it.I refuse to fight with Texas Windstorm again.
