    Disclosure laws for public service are already in place in most states. LA is, understandably, late to the party. Requiring spouse information just ensures that the board member/state rep/councilman is not influencing contracts where the payoff comes in through the side door.
    It is no surprise that when the light went on the cockroaches scurried for the walls. It is no wonder that LA is still not rebuilt after Katrina–where does the money go? I wonder…

    Yeah, that’s a good question, where is all those Billions that were given to LA for the reconstruction efforts? I bet that is part of what they didn’t want to disclose!

    I hope they can get it fixed (their state govt that is) soon & will get the road home opened up to all their citizens that had to find homes elsewhere. New Orleans looks like a ghost town still in some parts.
