Good post Bill.
I live in Tennessee (we have our share of tornados and an occasional flood) and we are not able to receive a building permit to build in a flood plain which for the most part is several hundred feet above sea level, yet \”they\” want us (US taxpayers)to pay for them to rebuild in an area that is below sea level. As Bill said, \”they\” need some self reliance and common sense.
I thought this was an insurance web site and not a \”bash\” on New Orleans.
I do not live in New Orleans, but I do not wish this on anyone and I definitely wouldn\’t wish a \”next time\” on them either. I certainly can understand why these people can not afford insurance, 300% increase in premiums!
