What does any of this really have to do with the Texas Insurance Commissioner, appointed by a REPUBLICAN, seeking an injunction forcing Allstate, and presumably other carriers with the same form, from denying ALE claims to people who have not sustained an otherwise covered losss under their homeowner’s policy?
Do you guys see everything that happens as a partisan ploy? Can’t something just be stupid politics regardless of party affiliation?
Sorry for getting sidetracked on politics. My original comment was to emphasize that Travis county does not let the letter of the law get in the way of political expediency. Bashing insurance companies is a popular sport in Austin.
I just spoke today with Jackie Johnson-Staples with Allstate in Dallas, where my ALE claim was sent by my adjuster, Kevin Witt. She calmly explained to me that since the judgment against Allstate, Allstate is now not denying my ALE claim nor is it recognizing my claim. Allstate at this time is holding my information until they make a decision in late November to appeal the judgment against them. Texas Department of Insurance just got a big slap in their face along with the judge in this case. I guess Allstate is so big and powerful they can ignore court orders. I can promise you one thing, when all this is done I am dropping Allstate as my homeowners and automotive insurance carrier. I am NOT IN GOOD HANDS, have just seen the middle finger of Allstate.
Steve, don\’t insult me like that. I have a legitimate claim. I am not ashamed to post my entire name. I have contacted Texas Department of Insurance and filed a complaint against Allstate, document ID # 725923, claim # 8204173549 if you must know.
So your property was damaged by a covered peril? I thought this dispute was over people who do not have damage to their property but are unable to live there do to lack of electricity or denied access by local authorities.
Sorry to bring you off topic here, but I need some direction.
Is there anywhere a codification of the Period of Restoration on a loss?
As a cat adjuster, I don’t think I have ever denied ALE coverage to anything. But dealing with my own loss (100%), I think I am getting the run around from a staff adjuster.
Thanks
