XL Appoints Bergbauer Head of Multinational Casualty in North America

XL Group plc announced the appointment of Alfred Bergbauer as head of Multinational Casualty.

He will report directly to Ken Riegler, president of XL Group’s North American Primary Casualty group and maintain offices in both New York and Philadelphia.

Bergbauer joins XL Group from Marsh USA, Inc. where he served as multinational client service leader for the east zone since 2006. He brings more than 25 years of international insurance industry experience, working in the US, China, Hong Kong and the Philippines for such companies as ACE USA, Winterthur Insurance, Liberty Mutual Group, Continental Insurance and Insular General Insurance Company.

He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).
