David J. Phillion has been named assistant vice president of planning and analysis for Harleysville Insurance.
In this role, he will be responsible for information technology (IT) finance and budgets, IT governance and process improvement, Project Management Office methodology, and the processing, reporting and tracking of corporate performance metrics.
Before joining Harleysville, Phillion spent 31 years with OneBeacon Insurance Company, the last six as portfolio/relationship manager for six of the 12 OneBeacon Insurance Company specialty lines. Over his career with OneBeacon, he also served as system application manager for multiple IT applications serving various aspects of the insurance business (commercial lines, personal lines, claims, legal, common services) and started the EDP audit function there. Prior to that, he held auditing positions with Colonial Penn Insurance Company and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
