Several large municipalities installed red light cameras and shortened the duration of the yellow light to make sure plenty of drivers would be caught.
I live, work, and drive in Phoenix where we have redlight cameras and the yellow light duration seems adequate. I have NEVER gone through a redlight in many decades of driving.
We did get rid of speed cameras which did not reduce accidents but did puff up revenues considerably. It took a lot of digging throught the stats to get at the truth
