The oil industry needs oil, which comes from wells, which they need permits to drill, which they can’t get.

Let’s get this straight: the government says the oil industry needs accountability? Well, ain’t this the pot calling the kettle black. Please spare me!

Let’s see–a critical US industry has a serious leak/spill what-every decade or so. The Obama administration decides to shut the industy until its newly appointed blue ribbon panel sorts things out over at the Four Seasons. After months of high living at taxpayer expense, the panel rolls out its finding–the industry is under-regulated. Alas, if only there had been more government bureaucrats on that BP platform……

Ah well, problem solved–on to the next blue ribbon panel initiative–cutting the deficit. The early indications–reducing Medicare & SS benefits, increasing taxes, eliminating the mortgage interest deduction–the sort of things one might expect if you put 20 millionaires up at the Four Seasons for the better part of a year.

Yesterday, Sultan Abu Hussein ibn Obooba banned new drilling off the coasts of his kingdom for seven years. What power he has!!!

As you watch those gas prices creeping up, think of the Sultan.

    ALL HAIL OBOOBA!!
    OBOOBAHU AKBAR!!!
