The assertion that “Foreclosures do not independently affect crime,” by David Kirk, assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and a Population Research Center affiliate and lead researcher on the study is somewhat ridiculous in that when would you ever expect to have the level of foreclosure we have seen without the accompanying destabilization of a community.
Are these the same folks whose study conclusively proved credit profiling is the major factor in determining the propensity for filing insurance claims?
