Oil disperses, companies come and go, and politicians get replaced. Then we’ll get the other side of the coin b*tching an moaning about a whole new set of problems.

Put your finger right on it, TN. This adminstration is no different than any other when it comes to spin. Just different things to blow past us.

unless you can verify it was caught south of Corpus Christi. The oil is still there just not floating like it did.

Do not eat shrimp or snapper from the GOM unless you can verify where it was caught and processed.

It is lying at the bottom of the ocean or floating around in plums. Oil doesn’t evaporate. It may have left the Gulf and is out in the great Atlantic reaking havoc.

Even if it dissapated it is still there, being consumed by all that is living around it and in it.

The cap/plug is not permanent. It is “contained” but is at risk to blow sky high. AS pressure mounts.

I don’t think it will work long term unless it is buried under a landslide of tons of mud, rock etc. It will take a lot, more then man can create. I’m afraid.

    Hope I’m wrong.

BP had forgone their opportunity to suck it up with the Whale and other rigs like it from the very beginning.

Now it would be a tremendous task to try and find the oil to do this. And you can be assured that BP has no intentions in doing spending the money to do that.

Everything they have done to this point has been on the cheap.

Even if it did cost billions.

We ARE about to find out where all of the OIL is. It is underneath. Just hanging below the suface of the gulf waters. AND OBAMA is feeding us BULL!

And when the first hurricane hits the Gulf we will find out the true wrath of this spill. The hurricane WILL pick up the water from the Gulf, with oil in it, and that water will turn to rain all up through the U.S. eastern states.

What are we going to do with dying trees, crops, and other damage from oil laden rain????

Corporations and governments from all sides of the hill have been screwing and covering things up for centuries, it’s just more SENSATIONAL now because we get to see it while it’s happening. I say we keep the scare tactics and politics at a minimum until we know for sure if the oil is dispersed, sunk, or being collected for some shiek’s trophy case. I’m sure some politician, mega businessman or celebrity will trip over their !@#$ and give us all something new to talk about tomorrow.

I find it funny how the media reported over and over and over ad nauseum about how much oil had spilled, how it would take years and years to clean up. Obama of course uses it as a stepping stone to ramming more b.s legislation down our throats in the form of climate change/carbon tax.

Now just like someone flipped a switch, they expect us to believe all this oil is suddenly just gone?

HA! November….please get here sooner before these idiots do any more harm to this country.

Like you said the MEDIA reported that this would be a long term catastrophe. If the media had reported “while the volume of the spill is large, studies indicate that with the current methods of skimming, containment and burning off of the oil, the rest will naturally disperse”, people would have changed the channel. It’s part of the Hockey Fight, Nascar Crash, Train Wreck mentality that fuels this type of half information given to us by so called “news” networks. It’s a bastardized version of the old addage “Headlines Sell Papers” and why retractions and corrections are on page 4, in small print.

Alaska allegedly is still suffering from the effects of the Exxon Valdez spill which occurred March 24, 1989 – 21 years ago, but this event, as the Obama Administration portrays, has just evaporated in days? Who do we believe?

Is there a double-standard here among the environ – mentalists because Obama is THEIR president?
