Ken, right conversation here. Of course, diminished value is always subjective(doesn’t mean no value),however, this does not diminish the fact that it occurs. I am glad you enjoy your prius but this does not mean that someone would buy it at the same price if it were not found to have been defective..As you know, Toyota’s biggest issue is customer loyalty lost because of their cover up of this entire issue (where they blamed the driver for the past 5 yrs). Once Toyota’s gets done with all the new litigation, including the reopening of several thousand cases previously settled because of discovery violations (where they hid documentation), they will then be able to get on the road to obtaining the trust which their customers previously had.
