Put a big “MADE IN CHINA” label front and center on packaging and let the consumer decide for themselves. China has made their own bed trying to beat our system-let them sleep in it.
Our government has a hard time doing anything efficiently. I suggest apply the same system of accountability we apply to our own manufacturers to the importers. What I mean by importers — the people/firms/companies who receive the goods in the United States for use or sale (no, not the ports).
On one hand we worry about overseas job loss. Yet, on the other hand, we impose all sorts of regulations for manufacturing in the United States. Meeting regulations increase the cost of manufacturing in the United States. Part of those regulations concern safety. If we feel so strongly about regulations and safety hold the importers responsible – the people/firms/companies who introduce the product into the United States.
We spent part of the last election worried about the perception of other countries. Why go to foreign countries and impose our concepts of safety? We, the United States should not impose our system of accountability on foreign manufacturers. We should impose our concepts on the importers.
You know, the people who run the US are all globalists who were put in power by multinational corporations.
From a corporate standpoint its most profitable to develop the whole world. That means use the lowest paid workers.
Thats why our country has never put up a fight when all of our jobs were exported.
Now this is what we get. Inferior products. Everyone has been indoctrinated by the walmart approach. Pay the lowest price for the most low quality crap because no one has as much money anymore.
Someone should MARKET QUALITY. Really scare people into the fact that their children very well might be consuming harmful chemicals if they purchase a lower priced product. Buy American or put your family at risk. Its a small price to pay.
