“The early season activity really doesn’t reflect what’s going to happen in the peak of the season,” said Gerry Bell, the lead seasonal hurricane forecaster at NOAA. “The fact that there’s been no hurricanes so far means absolutely nothing.”
“We were totally wrong about predicting the future so far, but we’re going to be much better at it going forward. Don’t worry, there are going to be plenty of disastrous hurricanes.”
I’m sorry but I have to label all of you CLOWNS. You’ve allowed your political leanings to interfer with what should be a discussion on the accuracy of so-called (or perhaps “self-proclaimed”?) experts on hurricane prediction.
The issue here is not Al Gore, or how much energy his house consumes, or which scientists claim global warming will lead to worse and worse tropical sotrms. It should be about those idiots whose hurricane predictions are what so many insurers and reinsurers are basing their underwriting decisions on. It should be on how they have to keep readjusting their doom and gloom predictions every year, not on liberal vs anti-liberal politics.

Just tell me when it is time to hunker down; plug in the generator; tap the keg and light the candles
It sounds like the headline writer is disappointed that we aren’t going to get as many ‘canes as Algore predicted.

Why do you need candles if the generator is running?
Ambiance.
Chilly, how dare you question Al Gore! Don’t you know that we must answer to this man and not question him? He is Al Gore, who in the hell are we?
If you disagree with Gore based on scientific data and analysis that is one thing…
If you disagree with him based on political orientation then I think you need to re-evaluate your priorities.
I worship than man, this data stuff is too much for my brain to absorb. I will never dare to question him.

Shame on all of you CLOWNS. Get back on topic!
